Retail (Visual Merchandising) SCQF Level 6

Skill Level: Advanced

This qualification is for candidates working within the retail industry who are in a role with a lot of responsibility which includes dealing with more complex tasks such as setting up windows, merchandise promotions, creating shop floor layouts and departmental moves. In this qualification candidates will develop skills in a range of areas such as:

  • choosing products to feature
  • control of graphics
  • dressing instore
  • window displays
  • design layouts
  • controlling costs.

The mandatory units cover supporting effective team working in a retail environment, helping to plan and organise your own learning in a retail environment and helping others to learn in a retail environment. There are a wide range of optional units that can be selected to tailor the qualification to meet the needs of both the employer and employee.

Funding Available

This qualification is part of the Modern Apprenticeship Programme therefore may be funded by SDS (Skills Development Scotland) but exam and membership fees do apply.
