Skill Level: Advanced

This qualification is for candidates working in a supervisory, team leading or management role. The qualification focuses on various specialist management functions within the freight logistics industry. Candidates will develop skills in a range of areas such as:

• providing leadership
• allocating work
• oversee the work of their team
• the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
• managing the environmental impact.

The mandatory units cover the optimisation of resources, maintaining health and safety and improving performance in logistics operations. There are a wide range of optional units that can be selected to tailor the qualification to meet the needs of both the employer and employee.

This qualification is part of the Modern Apprenticeship Programme therefore may be funded by SDS (Skills Development Scotland).
